That’s the point: Tapestry & EPIC are here for Rutland City students.

EPIC is FREE for all students in grades 7–12. That’s right—all year, all summer, all programs, meals, field trips, supplies, and fun are free!
Whether your child wants to learn something new, explore an interest, make friends, build real-life skills, or simply have an amazing place to spend their time, Tapestry & EPIC are ready to welcome them.

The Return of Gurney!
If you’ve been around Northwest Tapestry for any length of time, you know Mrs. Amanda Gurney. Amanda has been a fixture at Northwest Tapestry since 2013, serving as our capable and caring S.A.F.E. Coordinator and becoming a trusted resource for students, families, and staff.
Recently, Amanda decided it was time to step back from direct service. While we were sad to see her leave her day-to-day role, we supported her decision and wanted what was best for her.
That lasted about 24 hours!
We are thrilled to welcome Amanda back to Tapestry in a brand-new role as our Family & Student Success Navigator—or FSSN! (Okay, we’ll admit it: we were hoping the acronym would make a little bigger splash.)
But the role itself is a big deal.
Amanda is no longer just a resource for Northwest students and families—she is now a resource for all Tapestry families!

Have concerns about your child’s experience or how they are fitting into their site?
Amanda can work with you and our staff to help.
The goal of the Family & Student Success Navigator is simple: help families navigate challenges, connect with resources, and ensure every child has the best possible experience at Tapestry.
We are incredibly thankful that Amanda has chosen to continue as a resource for children and families across our programs.
Her experience, relationships, and genuine commitment to kids make her an incredible addition to this role.
Here's to the Return of Gurney!

We Need You at EPIC!
Rutland Middle School EPIC is looking for a Site Coordinator—
and we’re looking for someone special.
Working with middle school students is not always easy. They are funny, energetic, unpredictable, creative, opinionated, and constantly changing. And that’s exactly what makes this job so rewarding.
We need someone who can connect with kids, build relationships, create a positive environment, and take EPIC's program model to the next level.
You'll help shape daily programming, support staff, engage students, communicate with families, and make sure the afternoon experience is safe, welcoming, and—most importantly—worth coming back for.
We’re looking for someone who is:
-
Great with middle school students
-
Positive, energetic, and approachable
-
Organized and dependable
-
Comfortable taking the lead and making things happen
-
A strong communicator and team player
-
Creative & connected enough to turn student interests into great programming
You don’t have to have every answer.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You do need to care about kids, believe in what they can become, and be willing to roll up your sleeves and make EPIC happen.
EPIC is more than an afterschool program.
It’s a place where students can discover interests, develop real-life skills, find their people, and have adults in their corner.
Are you that adult?
If that sounds like you—or someone you know—we want to hear from you.
Come help us make EPIC at RMS something students don’t just attend…
but something they look forward to.

Registration for
Tapestry School Year 2026-2027 is now open!
~ EPIC registration coming soon! ~
Programs will began on Tuesday, September 8th
Tapestry is affordable at $100 per week, and we accept child care benefits.
(We also offer generous grant-supported financial assistance. )
EPIC is fully grant-funded and is free for 7th through 12th-grade attendees.
Please read these few points BEFORE you click the link and begin:
The online registration is in the RCPS student information system, Infinite Campus.
If you have a parent account, please do not log in to begin the Tapestry registration.
Registration for Tapestry looks the same as registering your child(ren) for school,
up to selecting the grade level.
Write down the registration number for your reference - you will need it later.
Important: When you reach the grade selection, please choose the T grades (T1, T5, etc.) corresponding to the grade your student will enter in the fall for school; this tells the system that you are intending to register for the summer program, not re-registering for the school.
If you reach questions asking for utility bills or birth certificates, you should stop and go back up to correct the grade to the “T” grade
